New Year’s Safety Tips for Pets
New Year’s Eve might be one of the most fun and exciting holidays for adults, but it’s not always great for pets. The combination of new sights, sounds and people can be incredibly stressful for our furry friends.
Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and relaxed.
1. Keep your pets inside! Many pets find fireworks, loud noises and parties overwhelming. Fireworks can terrify pets and cause damage to sensitive ears. Keep your pet safely inside and escape-prooof room with plenty of water and his favorite toys and bed. TV or music can help drown out the outside noise and help your felt feel comfortable. Hang a “Do not open” sign on the door to ensure your pet’s safety. If you’re are going out for the night, double check tom ake sure all doors and windows are secure before you leave.
